New Dimension – John Milton high Episode 9

Scene: This scene is after Caroline’s big brother,Travis disappeared/was stolen. Ryan and Kevin were announced by the girls, and now they’re trying to find Travis.Where’s Travis? Is he another victim? Will he escape from Kreon’s eternal hunger?

Kreon was sitting in his throne, looking at his little fountain, which showed him images from the town. He lifted a human meat with a majestic movement to his mouth.He was looking at the fountain, which showed, that the little group of teenagers are running and desperately trying to find one of their friend’s brother.
-Perfect. – sniggered Kreon, then he pointed at Kevin, the fountain zoomed at the blonde boy. – This boy….he’s so ambitious….I like him. I wonder how far he’ll get with his pathetic humanly endeavor.
-Not so far. – Vanessa said , sitting at the entrance on the ground.
-Do you think? Hm. He’s so simple, yet something’s more in him. He’s so pathetic….but entertaining.
Vanessa was staring at the bloody corpses in front of her master. She was very thirsty to drink a little blood, but she was too afraid of her master to tell him, but Kreon knew, he saw her glowing eyes, the need of fresh blood.

-What is it,Vanessa, are you thirsty? Do you want a little blood to soak your dry throat?
-N-no, master, I-I just..
-Oh, don’t be so modest. There’s that boy we captured. Turn him into a vampire. A bloodthirsty beat, like how you are. I want thing to get more chaotic, stunning…-he laughed- Just imagined that panicked faces, when we send him back to his family. – he laughed again, and let out a wild, murderous grin- He will slaughter his family, because he’ll be so thirsty to get more of it.
Vanessa bowed, then rushed down on the dusty stairs to a small little cave-like hole in de dark. She entered. A young man was in the centre of the small , dark room, only a little fairy produced light, who was caught in a cage. Travis was tied up from his neck and hands. He was on his knees, leaning forward. He was very scared, and the fairy symphatized with him so much, that she tried her best to produce as much light as possible, so that she gave the scared young man hope, and light to see.
-Shit….let me go! – whimpered Travis. He was hungry and thirsty, he got so weak from starvation, he had a blurred vision already. [he was caught there for a night plus a whole day, no food, no water, nothing]
-Calm down. …you’ll start a new life, you’ll see… a better one… - grumbled Vanessa, then she kicked Travis’ stomache with her high heels. He moaned in pain and collapsed.
Vanessa started to laugh on her annoying high pitched voice, she let out her pointy fangs, grabbed Travis from his hair, and leaned to his neck. She was about to burry her fangs in the man’s neck, when she froze. She stood up, letting go the shocked, panting Travis, and started to sniff in the air. She suddenly heard some footsteps echoing in the room. She growled, and turned at the sound.

Suddenly the whole room was filled with calming, yet panicky whistle sound. Vanessa started to panic, she was amazed Kreon didn’t notice the intruder.
-WHO ARE YOU? – Vanessa screamed, she started to breathe deeper in fear.
The footsteps and the whistle could be heard from every direction.
-WHO ARE YOU?! – Vanessa screamed again.
After a little silence, the footsteps and whistle was getting stronger and stronger, as it get closer to the vampire woman. A pair of black pearled shoes appear in the light produced by the fairy, then slowly a black smoke, which was as if it only a shadow formed into a man.

Vanessa’s eyes widened, she breathed so deeply, as if she was suffocating. Even the shocked Travis looked up at Crate. Crate just smiled with his usual nice, friendly smile, he bowed, then with a super nice voice, he said:
-Good evening, my lady. Outside is already evening, you know. Please don’t mind me, you can continue. I hope my whistling didn’t scare you. …although I’m very disturbing, I know, the others told me too. It’s like…a bad habit.
-WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!
-Who, me? – Crate blinked, he playfully acted as if he was surprised. – Well, I am….an intruder.
Vanessa snarled at Crate, she tried to get herself together. “It’s okay…I am way stronger than he is. I can feel he’s very weak….he’s like…as if he’s not even existing… weird. Whatever, I’ll finish him.” Vanessa thought, but she couldn’t continue thinking out her strategies, because Crate stepped in front of Travis, and lifted the man’s head by his chin. Crate looked down at the worn out face of Travis fastidiously. Travis stared in Crate’s deep black eyes, he slowly cooled down, he was as if he was stupefied by that dark gaze.
Vanessa didn’t hesitate anymore, she jumped at Crate screaming on her annoying high pitched tone. Crate didn’t move. He tilted his head slightly, still staring in Travis’ eyes. Vanessa, as a small lightning cracked in he body, she collapsed on the floor screaming in pain, she started to throw up. Crate finally let Travis’ chin go, stood up, and stared at Vanessa with widened, innocent eyes, then got out a gun from his belt, and pointed at Travis, who stared at Crate puzzled. He closed his eyes, and waited his doom. But Crate didn’t shoot Travis, he just shot the ironchains off of Travis’ hands. He grabbed Travis’ shoulders, and started to drag the man out on a small little dark hole.During he rescued Travis, he cursed himself he has to act so weak, and restrain all his powers , so that he won’t be caught, but it made the rescuing procedure pretty slow.
Vanessa panted on the floor, the pain slowly went away. She looked around in the room, but no sign of Travis and Crate. She started to cry, blood flowed out through her eyes.
-DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – she screamed.

Ok, so I must answer three questions:
1.) Who is Travis?
He is a secondary character, so that means he doesn't really has a big role in the story. He is the big brother of Caroline. He was kidnapped by Kreon, so that Kreon leads Amy and her friends at him, and so he can finish them. This was like a strategical step, but Vanessa screwed it up. Of course we can't blame pooer Vanessa, because it's very hard dealing with Crate, when you have to attack him. Everyone curses the incredible intelligence and mind Crate has. But he's an aincient demon, so it's natural for him to be that wise. x) [same is Tsutomu and Misa, but unlike them, Crate is not pretty much adored and accepted]
2.) Is Vanessa so dumb, or Crate so awesome? How could he make Vanessa believe he's weak, like a small insect, and go easily in Kreon's theritory, wihout the dragon noticing them?
It's a trick, which can only be used by demonic creatures. He simply restrained his powers, and shrink it deep in his insides. So that he has no smell, he's like he's even weaker than a human being. In this state, he's only able to walk, talk, and do usual stuffs. Since he's the aincient demon of Darkness, he could make some small tricks with darkness, without using much of his energy, so he did not reveal himself. This is why he had to use a gun to get those iron chains off of Travis.
