New Dimension – John Milton Episode 8 scene

Scene: So this scene is right after Steve and the crows agreed to meet at the west side of the forest to talk things a bit out. Yes, they!re a little “paranormal detective agency” and their big work is, that “Is the Great Fire Dragon still exist? Will he make chaos?” and such. But now they’re clueless….or maybe they started to find something? Let’s find out in this scene. Also, you’ll meet up at the first time with Crate!

When Steve arrived to the settled meeting place, the two women and men already waited him.
-So? – Steve asked.
-Crate didn’t attend out meeting again…-Oboe said.
- Ok, whatever, we’ll keep this meeting without him. – sighed Steve.
- Ok. – the others agreed, as they sat on the grass in a little circle.
-Pearl, you start. – said the leader, Steve.
Pearl pulled her hair together on her left shoulder, then started speaking with a serious expression:
-I walked a lot on the streets between people. I heard a lot of peoples thoughts, I even digged very deep in their mind, some of them are starting to sense , that something’s not okay. We must keep our existence in secret , but it seems people are guessing that we might actually exist.
-Oh, come ooon, we hid every possible hint about demons and such creatures from humans. – interrupted Keith. – By the way, I can’t actually tell anything about Kreon’s existence. I couldn’t find any of his slaves, subordinates, and so on.  Anyways, the humans are way more complicated than we are, considering emotions, so yeah, they’re not dumb either. They guess a lot of things, then state them, eventhough they’re not even conviced it’s like that.
-I agree with Keith. – said in a monotone voice at once Slayer and Oboe.
-Yes, that’s the problem! They’re clever enough to find out about our existence, then our problems, and so they might end panicking.And a big amount of panick causes chaos. This is what the Great Fire Dragon wants, or not? At least in the past…
-Ok, let’s not argue. – Pearl was interrupted again by Steve. – The informations we have ‘til now are opposite. Let’s see what can Slayer tell us.
Slayer winded along his wild, dark gaze on the others, who were shivering a bit, but they kept their cool.
-Yes, Kreon is living. I can sens his aura, but it’s very weak…He killed a woman, and poisoned her with this “elixir” he has, and formed her soul as he wanted. He even amanged to give her a physical body. After this, three people dies daily, because this poisoned woman, and some other creatures I couldn’t exactly recognize, kill people, get their blood, and then drag the corpses somewhere. I think this is how Kreon feeds himself. With fresh blood and fresh meat from human bodies. We have to act fast, or we’ll find ourselves be the only people in this town. Kreon seems to be very greedy, also his aura of existence  is starting to get stronger.
The others stood silent, thinking. Keith then asked, the question, which was in everyones mind:
-I wonder who’s this woman? She might lead us to Kreon.
-Yes, indeed. – the others agreed.
-But we still don’t have enough clues. Everything’s so puzzling. All I can say is, that I probably found the vampire woman. She’s at John Milton school, where I teach. Slayer, haven’t you sensed something strange at Jphn Milton high?
-I have. Under the school building is a wormhole, which might be created by Kreon. I know this, because there’s the place  where I sense the most corpses. Probably in the past there was a supermarket, or a big building, in which a lot of people were, and so a lot of people died there, when Kreon formed that wormhole. I’m convinced he formed it, because according to the legends, only he can generate such thing. – Slayer lit a cigarette.
-I see. We only have to find out Kreon’s actual hiding place, and we won. –Oboe said with a serious, wondering expression.
-And where will we start actually? In the previous meeting we couldn’t decide anything..-sighed Keith.
The others silently agreed with him. Steve stated with an emotionless expression:
-We need to talk with Crate.
-Indeed! – agreed the others.

Steve and Oboe rushed on the allyes in long brown jackets .
-Can you see his footprints?- Steve asked between two big flats .
-No….I sometimes can see them, but then they disappear…
-Oboe, concentrate!
-I try….-she lifted up her hair from her glowing green eyes, and stared at the ground, strengthening her abilities to track from the million footprints and other traces, which were on the ground, and were not visible by anyone else but her, Crate’s footprints.
But suddenly a leisurely moving shadow glided at a window. Oboe and Steve looked up, and started to look around to find the shadow.
-He’s here. – Steve said, while looking around.
Suddenly the shadow appeared next to Oboe, Oboe froze. The shadow stepped closer to her, then disappeared in black smoke.
Steve started to lose his patience:
-Crate, stop playing! – he shouted angrily.
Steve’s voice echoed  between the massive buildings.
-You shouldn’t….-Oboe grumbled.

After a big, tense silence, they heard a whistle echoing in the whole dark alley. Oboe started to shiver, Steve attentively glared at a deep, dark, shadow-like smoke, which was on top of one of the flats they were between.  A dark gaze looked at us, it was so dark it didn’t even show it was a gaze.  The shadow seemed like standing up, then jumped down in front of Steve. The searched person was whistling further, while he leisurely stepped out of the night shadows, and showed himself in the moonlight.
Oboe and Steve sighed.

Crate stood in front of the two crows with a very nice grin, and a very calm expression. He tilted his head slightly, asking:
-Can I help you?
Steve stepped forward, and confidently said:
-You’re coming with us now! You’ll listen to our informations we gathered and help us find a clue, form a hypothesis.
Crate just smiled. His whole existence was very disturbing, very annoying. Right now he annoyed Oboe and Steve to the core, because his acts were too unpredictable.He was also annoying, because he was the one, who formed the team, yet he was useless all the time. He didn’t do a single job, not attend meetings, yet he always knew everything. He always knew the right solution to everything, just he never awas in the mood to share.
-So?- Oboe asked unpatiently.
-I will not go with you in any case. I don’t want to listen to your same , boring crap you always talk about at the meetings. I can’t even understand how all of you have the patience to discuss them over and over, and I don’t know how I have patience to you all. – Crate said with a sarcastic grin.
-We are not here to listen to your pestering words. We want your advice. – growled Steve.
-Keep your calm, my sweet friend. Too bad I don’t have a cup of tea for you in hand, so you could calm down. – Crate continued his sarcasm.
-Get to the point already! – grunted Oboe.
-Fiiine, fiiine. – Crate playfully acted as he was very upset being insulted by the two.
Oboe and Steve stared intensely at Crate. They both hated, when Crate got serious.
-‘til now you chose the straight way to find Kreon, but I think it’s time for you to wake up, and realise, that Kreon’s not stupid. He’s  taking real care of himself, because he’s very aware where he will go back, if he’s caught. You have to be very careful too, because he’s smart enough to slowly find out that The Crows is on the way to find him and reveal him. If one of you gets attacked by anyone, be sure Kreon found you. Try to find what Kreon wants to find, and not try to find the dragon himself. Try to find what Kreon wants to find before him. Also pay attention to his allies. You can’t trust anyone else than your crow partners. Once more:  Be very caurious, pay attention, and try to get what Kreon wants before him.
-Wait, you know where’s Kreon and what he wants? – Oboe asked.
Crate just smiled.
-Do you want me to be honest?
-What?-Steve asked confused.
-Yes. – Oboes said with a confident expression.
Crate just smirked, and looked deep in Oboes eyes with his strong gaze. She tried to stare back confidently, but then she gave in and looked away a bit intimidated.
-I know where Kreon is. I know who’re working with him, but why should I ruin the whole thing with boring spoilers? You’ll start to concentrate on him again, and not on what he wants. But one thing I don’t know either: his next step. – he said with a dark expression. His gaze was so dark it didn’t seem like he narrowed his eyes and look at the others with  warning glare.
“I hope it won’t be too late.” He thought, then his body started to split into black smoke.
-Good luck! Don’t forget: try to find Kreon’s target, and get what he wants before him. – Crate said, then disappeared, vanished, becoming one with darkness.
Oboe and Steve were shocked. Their thoughts were still puzzled, they couldn’t understand what Crate really tried to say. Steve was looking around, he tried to find Crate.
-Come…let’s go. – Oboe whispered silently, as she gently touched Steve’s arm.
-Ok. – Steve said silently.- Let’s go and tell this to the others…-so they vanished.
Crate was sitting on the top of the flat. He looked as the two crows went away.He looked after them with a dark expression, narrowed eyes. He grinned, then disappeared.
“I’m very curious what will be Kreon’s next step. He’s not in deep shit yet….but I don’t like this woman…Ruby. Kreon’s mentioning her a lot…he has this strange respect for  her. Should we fear this woman more than Kreon? Probably, but only finding out more about Kreon will lead us to her. She might be a powerful woman, considering Kreon’s words.” Crate thought, as he floated on top of the flats in dark smoke form , heading at the centre of the town.
